I AM A STAUNCH ALLY TO ALL WHO HAVE BEEN "OTHERED" BY SOCIETY WHETHER IT BE BY RACE, CLASS, GENDER EXPRESSION, CULTURE, ABLE-ISM, AND SEXUALITY.
IT MATTERS TO ME THAT THIS WORLD IS A SAFE
PLACE FOR EVERYONE.
I firmly believe in the healing power of therapy. Sharing stories and having someone bear witness to them, to have someone see us for who we truly are, without blinking, has a curative power. I am in awe of the bravery and courage that I see in my clients every day. It’s a gift to be a witness and guide people working toward feeling more free in their lives and breaking cycles that once held them back.
Ever since I was a little girl, I've been naturally curious about people and their experiences, and people have often confided in me. I lean in and often feel touched when I hear something genuine or from the heart of another.
I felt called to become a therapist and attended the California Institute of Integral Studies to receive formal training. It was a formative experience for me. Today, I supervise at the Marina Counseling Center, where I earned my clinical hours, and help support therapists in developing and growing their own therapeutic styles.
One of the best things about this field is that there is an endless amount to learn, and I am a passionate lifelong learner. In particular, I have studied contemporary relational analytic work, attachment theory, somatic work, mindfulness, perinatal, couples therapy and parenting work. Most recently, I was trained by the Good Inside team and became certified in Parent Coaching to complement my therapeutic work.
Over the last decade, I have developed a thriving private practice where I offer individual and couples therapy with a warm and intuitive therapeutic approach that is both supportive and direct. In other words, I will create a safe space that meets you where you are and helps guide you to where you want to go.
I look forward to meeting you and to understanding your unique inner world.
